You will be required to use Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21 to play on the server. You can load the game either via the official Minecraft Launcher, or through a third party launcher such as Prism Launcher.
We don't require any mods, but we do have some recommendations on mods you can use which work well with the server. If you want to use these mods, we recommend you use Prism Launcher to setup Fabric and install the mods.
- A client-side performance optimisation mod for Fabric.
- Communicate with proximity or group voice chat within the game.
- Allows viewing chunks further out than the server render distance.
You can join the server by heading to the Multiplayer menu and pressing "Add a Server". You can then put in the IP: mc.thegameroom.xyz and get playing!
